Muscular Dystrophy Association is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.

My Father’s House

My Father’s House is a non-profit shelter ministry that opened to meet the needs of homeless families. The men, women and children in homeless families often sleep in their cars, crash on friends’ couches, or go from home to home just to survive. Many of these families have no idea of how to obtain or keep a job. Some need professional counseling. All of them need HOPE.

Oregon Food Bank

Oregon Food Bank recovers food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources. It then distributes that food to 20 regional food banks across Oregon. Sixteen are independent charitable organizations. OFB directly operates the four regional food banks serving the Portland metro area, Tillamook and southeast Oregon. Those four centers distribute food weekly to more than 340 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other programs helping low-income individuals in Clackamas, Clark, Multnomah, Washington, Tillamook, Malheur and Harney counties.

Portland Rescue Mission

Portland Rescue Mission was founded in 1949 by John Van Diest Sr., the Mission opened its doors as the "John 3:16 Mission." From its earliest days of ministry, the words of that verse of salvation and hope have been at the heart and soul of our motivation for service: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son”. Since then the Portland Rescue Mission has had a tireless commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness.

The Portland Police Sunshine Division

The Portland Police Sunshine Division is a non-profit emergency food relief organization. The Division maintains a civilian Board of Directors with the assistance of one sergeant paid for and supported by the Police Bureau. The Division has been in operation since the early 1920's and continues to offer emergency food relief as a result of generous donations of food, cash and services from local businesses and the general public.
